Fun things to do in Devon's Pecorama

As if the landscape itself isn't enough to take your breath away, it's time to venture into the world of Pecorama. Visitors can expect a great day out with the whole family - and Pecorama loves pooches, so bring your pet for a dog-friendly day!

Ride in style on Britain's finest railway

Choose from the three tracks that rest on Pecorama's beautiful grounds:

  • The Beer Heights Light Railway: This journey begins at the Much Natter Station and offers beautiful views of Lyme Bay, the Jurassic Coast and the distant Portland Bill. Passengers can also hop off at the Deepwater station and enjoy the tranquility and serenity of Lake Charlotte.
  • The Orion Pullman Carriage: Beautifully preserved from the 1950's, the interior of this irreplaceable car has the original brass decoration and polished woodwork. It now rests majestically adjoining Beer Victoria.
  • Model Railway Exhibition: The home of the famous model railway brand, PECO, one of the last major model railway production facilities in the UK, now hosts an exhibition looking to inspire and encourage train enthusiasts everywhere.

Leisure in the grandiose gardens of South Devon

Too much fun? Don't worry, Pecorama provides some of the most relaxing and beautiful nature that Devon has to offer:

  • The Millennium Gardens: Redesigned to celebrate the millennium, the gardens are celestial-themed - spend the afternoon surrounded by the sun, moon and rainbow gardens and their beautiful colour schemes.
  • The Secret Garden: Separated from the main attraction, this is the ideal place for peace and tranquility. Partially-walled and filled with plants of all heights and colours, relax in the seclusion of this private garden.
  • The Grotto: Based on a mythological sea theme, The Grotto is uniquely built out of sea shells! Find the dolphin sculpture and Poseidon in the Moon Garden.
  • The Wildway: A stunning garden with a twist, this woodland features walks, a Bug Hotel and a Zip Wire. Spot the Wildway's wildlife as you see frogs, damson's and dragonflies!
