Take on exciting adventures

It’s simply a breathtaking experience to walk along the coast of Pembrokeshire.

Whether you’re with the kids on a weekend trip, or you and your partner are going for a romantic stroll for the day, there are many things to do and be inspired by along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The park is considered one of the smallest in the UK, yet you’ll be surprised by its endless beauty and gorgeous landscapes as you park the car.

When you get going, we’re sure you'll soon come across beautiful hidden coves along with some of the 11 Blue Flag beaches including Saundersfoot and Tenby Castle. Take a moment to sit and feel the grains of sand between your fingers.

Maybe you’re wondering what wildlife has made Pembrokeshire Coast National Park their home? You'll probably get to see some native species such as Atlantic grey seals, porpoises, and dolphins playing in the waves.

If historical architecture is more your thing, be sure to take a detour to Castell Henllys Iron Age Village. You’ll explore the reconstructed Iron Age roundhouses standing in the same spot as the original ones were some 2,000 years ago.

Take a well-deserved break

By now, you’ve walked miles along the picture-perfect golden sands which makes it a perfect time to take out the picnic blanket, some tasty sandwiches, and a flask of coffee to snuggle up with.

If you happen to stop at Carew Castle and Tidal Mill, we also recommend grabbing a light bite and a steamy cuppa at Nest Tearoom, named after Princess Nest, the castle’s most famous resident.

Rest your legs and chat about your journey so far as you get stuck into some delicious homemade cakes, before taking a look around some fascinating history dating back to the 11th century.
