Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre
A hopscotchy frothbuggling day out in Buckinghamshire
Based in the village that Dahl spent 36 years of his life, this site is the birthplace of the majority of Dahl's most famous characters. You can visit many of them there today, whether you're there to spot Mr. Fox, strike a power pose with Matilda, measure yourself against the BFG or to resist the urge to take a bite of the giant Wonka Bar, Dahl fans young and old won't be disappointed by the famous faces and features on show at the museum.
Whoopsy whiffling wackiness
Get a feel for the creativity that Dahl put into his work with over 40 interactive activities scattered around the museum and spot all 17 of Quentin Blake's illustrations out by the courtyard. Take a stroll through the Wondrous Woods and even take a look inside Roald's Writing Hut.
Be sure to visit the galleries trail and the craft room to get into the imaginative spirit, or sit down for a story session with some truly phizz-wizzing narration. You can even tour the local village and countryside on a self-led tour from the museum.
It's flushbunkingly gloriumptious!
