Soft Play Sessions at Rock Up in Manchester

Not ready for the wall? No fear, keep your feet firmly on the ground as your little adventurers crawl, climb and clamber their way through Rock Up's two-storey soft play sanctuary:

  • Enjoy the ultimate soft play session with two-storeys of squashy obstacles!
  • Discover one of the best soft play basecamps with air conditioning
  • Watch the tiniest of explorers discover the ball pools and baby area
  • Bigger pioneers can whizz down slides and scramble through rollers

Everything you need-to-know about Soft Play Sessions:

  • Duration: 2 hours long.
  • Age Restrictions: Up to 5 years old. There is a separate Soft Play area for under 1's.
  • What to Wear: Please wear enclosed shoes and ensure they are securely fastened. 
  • Please note: There are baby-changing facilities onsite. Please bring all baby-essential items, but food and drink can be purchased onsite.

Is Rock Up in Manchester wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the attraction, Rock Up's activities are not wheelchair accessible.

However, wheelchair users are more than welcome to come and observe climbers from the sidelines.

What should I wear to Rock Up?

Please dress sensibly for your activities at Rock Up. This means:

  • No jewellery or watches
  • No watches, phones, coins and key chains in pockets when on the wall. 
  • No high heels or open-toe shoes of any kind.
Are there any age restrictions on Rock Up activities?

Please note the following Age Restrictions:

  • Soft Play: Suitable for those under 5 years old. Some sites have Soft Play Centres for up to 7 years old.
  • Baby Area: Suitable for under 1's.
  • Vertical Challenges: You must be at least 1.2m tall.
  • High Ropes: You must be at least 1.2m tall.
  • Standard Climb: Children aged 14 and under require an accompanying adult. Children under 4 will need to book Toddler Climbs.
  • Toddler Climbs: Suitable for up to 5 years old.
  • Community Climb: Suitable for 7+.
  • School Climb: Suitable for 4+.
  • Rockstar NICAS Academy Wild Climbers: Suitable for 3+.
  • Rockstar NICAS Academy Climbers: Suitable for 6+.
  • Autism & SEN-Friendly Sessions: Suitable for 4+. Adults and children are welcome to attend.
  • Climb for £9: Suitable for 5+.
  • Grub Club: Suitable for 14 and under.
  • Ultimate Climb: You must be at least 1.2m tall.

  • Monday: 10:30am – 8:00pm
  • Tuesday: CLOSED
  • Wednesday: 10:30am – 8:00pm
  • Thursday: 3:30pm – 8:00pm
  • Friday: 10:30am – 8:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:30am – 8:00pm
  • Sunday: 9:30am – 7:00pm
