RockReef SEND Sessions are specially designed to provide a welcoming, relaxed and inclusive environment for individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to enjoy climbing and adventure.

Enjoy SEND‑friendly adventure sessions at RockReef in Bournemouth

  • Session Time: Every second Sunday, 9:30am – 10:30am
  • Minimum Age: 4+
  • Location: RockReef Activity Centre, Bournemouth Pier, BH2 5AA
  • Important Information: Pre‑booking is essential. Walk‑ins are not available for SEND Sessions.

A safe, supportive space to climb, play and build confidence

RockReef SEND Sessions are delivered by instructors trained in SEND, offering reassurance, guidance and encouragement throughout the session. Families, carers and siblings are welcome to take part together.

  • Highline & Adventure Elements: Enjoy select activities in a quieter setting
  • Break‑Out Space: A calm area available if anyone needs time out or extra support

Important Information about RockReef:
  • Please wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing. No swimwear or wet clothes, skirts,  jewellery or hooded jackets/jumpers. Long hair should be tied back. Please have nothing in your pockets, there are boxes in reception to store your possessions if needed.
  • Sign the compulsory online waiver before your visit.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session start time.
  • The climbing area can be cold at times so please bring appropriate clothing. You should soon warm up when you start climbing.
  • No food/drink on the activity floor.
  • No children under 4 years old on the activity floor.
  • No pushchairs/buggies on the activity floor.
  • If a participant is not following the safety rules given by our instructors they will not be able to participate on that activity.
