Celebrated for blending the physicality of hip-hop with the fluidity of contemporary dance, Dickson Mbi has made waves across the globe.

Inspired by ancient parables, Mbi successfully weaves a powerful tale of sacrifice and rebirth in a mystical world. 

Immerse yourself into another world as matriarchal figures are sacrificed and reborn, as a large ensemble of dancers move to Mbi's music with breathtaking synchronicity, delivering an intense, awe-inspiring spectacle that will leaves audiences spellbound.

As the curtain rises with Schachmatt (Checkmate!), audiences will be treated to a high-energy ballet by acclaimed choreographer Cayetano Soto in a 20-minute gem inspired by Bob Fosse, Pedro Almodovar and Joan Rivers. 

Featuring dancers performing with razor-sharp precision and humour on a giant chessboard, prepare to be wowed and amused, only at Sadler's Wells Theatre.
