Throughout the afternoon, visitors can enjoy a huge range of activities spread across the 36-acre Woodhouse Park site. From pumpkin carving and fairground games to arts, crafts and adventure activities, there is plenty to keep everyone busy before darkness arrives.

As the sun sets, the atmosphere changes. The woodland trail comes alive with spooky scenes, themed areas, jump scares and mysterious characters hidden amongst the trees. Groups will make their way through haunted woodland before returning to the reception area for the evening entertainment.

Can I camp at Spooktacular?

Yes. One night's camping is included with your ticket. Groups must provide their own tents and catering. A second night can be added for an additional charge.

Do I need to wear fancy dress at Spooktacular?

Fancy dress is not compulsory, but participants and adults are encouraged to dress up in Halloween-themed costumes.

Does Spooktacular include a Halloween scare trail?

Yes. Once darkness falls, participants can explore a spooky woodland trail featuring themed scenes, spooky characters and jump scares.

What happens after the Spooktacular scare trail?

After completing the trail, groups staying later can enjoy a Halloween disco from 8pm and a late-night movie from 9pm until 10:30pm.

  • Woodhouse Park operates as a zero-waste site, so groups are encouraged to take as much waste home as possible
  • Groups camping overnight will not be able to drive onto the site until 5pm on Saturday due to another event taking place
