After caring for and nurturing birds of prey for over 13 years, The Owl Experience in Staffordshire is an established rescue centre in the West Midlands that firmly believes every family should have at least one experience with the beautiful birds of prey.

The owl experience rescue sanctuary is in Haughton, Staffordshire and has been open for 13 years. They rescue, rehabilitate and care for Owls, Hawks, Falcons, and other birds of prey, both native and non-native.

With over 51 birds on site and hundreds previously passing through the doors, Staffordshire Owl Experience invites you to come along and meet them all!

The Staffordshire Owl Experience team are dedicated and committed to the health and well-being of their birds - many of which are rescued, rehabilitated and returned to their natural habitats in the wild. 

The birds which aren't rescued are long-term residents and permanent feathery friends of The Owl Sanctuary. They were donated as unwanted pets or saved from neglect or cruelty, so require extra love and attention, but the owners at the bird rescue centre will never refuse a call for help.

The passionate team cares and supports all of these beautiful birds, and it is sanctuaries like this that ensure native birds of prey in Great Britain are fighting back from being at risk!

The Staffordshire Owl Experience can be found after following the A460 towards Wolverhampton/Cannock.

By Train:

Whilst there isn't a train station directly adjacent to the sanctuary, there are a number of nearby stations that you can commute via.

There are regular services from both Birmingham and Wolverhampton that stop at both of the above stations.

Yes! The Staffordshire Owl Experience and Birds of Prey Rescue Centre is wheelchair-friendly, and there are also accessible toilets and facilities. 

Unfortunately, due to the health and safety restrictions set in place for the wellbeing of the resident birds, dogs and other pets are not allowed at The Owl Experience. 

Opening times for the Stafford sanctuary are currently:

Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30am - 4:00pm. 

Please arrive with plenty of time to enjoy the experience.
