Windsor Castle is located in the heart of Windsor town centre, Berkshire, postcode SL4 1NJ. The Castle is within walking distance of Windsor & Eton Central and Windsor & Eton Riverside railway stations. 

Visitors should be aware that Windsor Castle sits at the top of a steep hill. From the High Street, there is an uphill walk to the Admission Centre, followed by a further uphill route inside the Castle grounds.

There is no visitor parking at Windsor Castle itself. The nearest disabled parking bays are located on Windsor High Street and Park Street, a short uphill walk from the entrance. Coach parking is available in Windsor town centre, although coaches cannot drop off directly outside the Castle.

If arriving by car, visitors should use Windsor town centre car parks and follow signs towards Windsor Castle. Allow extra time during peak periods, school holidays and weekends.
