Parking: There is a car park by the East Court entrance, close to where you meet the Summit team

  • Train: Alexandra Palace Station is on the The Great Northern line. 10 minutes from Kings Cross, 22 minutes from Moorgate. It is then a 10 minute walk to Ally Pally through the park, or bus.
  • Tube: Wood Green Station (Piccadilly Line), with a 20 minute walk to Ally Pally, or bus.
  • Bus: W3 bus operates all week, with 24 hour service on Friday - Saturday.
  • Parking: Parking is available for customers at Ally Pally, for a small fee.
  • Cycling: Space in the car park to lock your bikes, and designated rental E Bike parking.

Due to the nature of the activity, Summit Ally Pally is currently not wheelchair accessible at this time. 

Are there any age limits for Summit Ally Pally in London?

There are a handful of restrictions to ensure all visitors are safe and comfortable.

  • Minimum Age: 8 years old
  • There is no maximum age restriction
  • Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at a maximum ratio of 1 adult to 4 minors
  • Proof of age may be required
  • Maximum Weight Limit: 130kg max (approx. 21st/286lbs) due to harness restrictions
  • Maximum Height Limit: 1.2m minimum due to harness restrictions
What should you bring to Summit Ally Pally's Rooftop Adventure?
  • Clothing: Suitable and comfortable clothing for outdoor activity. The team do not provide waterproofs, jackets and other protective clothing so make sure to dress for the weather conditions. Gloves and hats are recommended throughout winter. 
  • Footwear: Suitable outdoor footwear. No open toe shoes, high heels, and / or shoes with no back on them (flip flops / sliders). Trainers are perfect.
  • Accessories: You may wear watches, bracelets, jewellery at your own risk. The team may ask you to remove long necklaces, shawls and anything that may get caught up in safety equipment if it poses a risk of entanglement.
  • Phones: You can bring your phone on the climb if you purchase a secure phone pouch (available for pre-purchase or on the day onsite)
  • Personal Items: All personal items are to be left in locks/bag storage provided in the Summit reception area. These are left at your own risk. 
  • Dogs: Summit Ally Pally is not dog-friendly, but Alexandra Palace is. 
Are spectators allowed at Summit Ally Pally?

Yes! It's possible to watch the Summiteers from the outside of Alexandra Palace.

The team encourage cheerleaders, so feel free to bring your loved ones for a stroll in Alexandra Palace Park for fantastic views or a delicious coffee from the East Court Cafe or Boat House Cafe. 

The best part? There is no charge for entry into Alexandra Palace or Alexandra Palace Park. 

What happens when you arrive at Summit Ally Pally in London?

Please meet your Summit team at the East Court entrance of Alexandra Palace, just inside the main doors on the right-hand side. 

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your allocated start time.
  • If you want to turn up earlier, feel free to visit the East Court Cafe or Boat House Cafe prior to your experience.
