About Teeth 'n' Smiles

Starring the magnetic Rebecca Lucy Taylor (aka Self Esteem) in the lead role of Maggie Frisby, this is a theatrical event that blends music, chaos, and emotional truth in a way that still resonates today.

Before punk had a name, before grunge had a sound, there was Maggie Frisby, a fierce, flawed, and unforgettable frontwoman of a 1960s rock band teetering on the edge of collapse. Once the voice of a generation, Maggie now finds herself broke, bitter, and burning through the last embers of fame.

Set during a raucous college gig in 1972, Teeth 'N' Smiles captures a single night of spiralling tension, backstage drama, and raw musical energy. Maggie fights to reclaim her voice, and her dignity, in a world that’s moved on without her.

Fuelled by alcohol, rage, and a refusal to fade quietly, she confronts the ghosts of her past and the brutal reality of her present.
