The Big Banquet returns to Caldicot Castle for 2025 over May Bank Holiday weekend! 

Once again, the incredible organisers of Forest Feastival have put on an event that won't break the bank and is for all the family, including our furry friends!

  • When? Weekend from the 23rd May to the 26th May 2025
  • How much? Adult tickets from £8 (zero booking fees!) PLUS under 16's and dogs can go for free!
  • Who's it for? Families, friends and dogs - this is a Bank Holiday event for all

How to find us

Visitors are encouraged to use the train to reach the site, and can arrange a taxi with the car park postcode NP26 4HU.

By train:

Caldicot Train Station is just a 5-minute drive from the site, or an approximate 20-minute walk.

Trains are served from all major routes, including Newport, Carmarthen, Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol and London.

By car: 

The Big Banquet is located in the grounds of Caldicot Castle, just 10 minutes off the M4 between Chepstow and Newport. It’s around 40 minutes from Bristol and Cardiff. Sat-Nav address is Caldicot Castle, Church Road, Caldicot, NP26 4HU. 

From the West:

  • Exit at Magor Services junction 23A.
  • Follow signs for Caldicot.
  • Follow signs for Castle. 
  • Enter the Castle grounds via Church Street 

From the East: 

  • Use the M48 over the old Severn Bridge for a more direct route.
  • Enter the Castle grounds via Church Street

Are dogs allowed at The Big Banquet?

Yes, feel free to bring along your well-behaved pooch! Please keep all dogs on a lead and make sure to pick up after them.

Please bare in mind that if your dog's behaviour is unruly or dangerous to other dogs or customers, you may be asked to leave at the discretion of the events team.

It is essential to book a free dog ticket if you intend to bring your dog(s), to The Big Banquet. 

What are the opening times for the Big Banquet?

The Big Banquet opening times are as follows:

  • Friday: 18:00 - 22:00
  • Saturday: 11:00 - 22:00
  • Sunday: 11:00 - 22:00
  • Bank Holiday Monday: 11:00 - 20:00
Is The Big Banquet a cashless event?

The Big Banquet is cashless, so it is advised that you bring a card or phone to pay for food at the event. 

The traders are contracted not to take cash, so it is asked that you respect the event's terms and conditions and be ready with your card or mobile. 

Will The Big Banquet still run in bad weather?

The Big Banquet will take place whatever the weather. There are lots of under cover areas pitched under canvas canopies, these areas are protected from the weather but are not 100% waterproof. As an outdoor venue, it is strongly advised that you dress appropriately for the weather. 

Is The Big Banquet family-friendly?

The Big Banquet is a family-friendly event and children are very welcome to all sessions except the adult-only session on Friday evenings. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

Is The Big Banquet wheelchair accessible?

There is an accessible car park very close to the site, advise the car park team on arrival to be directed there. 

Once onsite the ground for the most part, is wheelchair accessible.
