How to find us

By car: 

Follow the M55 to the end and take the second exit and the roundabout, following the road to the Travelodge opposite Blackpool Football Club. Turn right onto Bloomfield Road and then left onto Central Drive, then follow the road until you get to Central Drive car park. 

By train: 

Blackpool North Station is the closest to The Gruffalo and Friends Clubhouse and is approximately 20 minutes walking distance.

There is a tram station located opposite the train station, that offers easy access to the Promenade.

By bus: 

Most buses travel through the town centre which is a short walk from the attraction.  

By tram: 

For a traditional Blackpool experience, take any Promenade tram to the Central Pier stop.

There is a tram station located opposite the train station, that offers easy access to and from the Promenade.

Trams operate from Starr Gate all the way through to Fleetwood along Blackpool Promenade. Operating roughly every 10-15 minutes. All trams (excluding Heritage Trams) have level boarding and step-free interiors, with designated pushchair/wheelchair areas to ensure accessibility for all.

All except the Heritage trams have both visual & audible announcers to inform passengers of the next stops.

What is The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse?

Adapted from some of the UK’s most loved children’s stories by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse is an indoor adventure like no other. With 6 captivating and immersive zones, this experience is a magical place of imagination, creativity, discovery and play.

How long does it take to go around the attraction?

During peak times, the team will be implementing a wristband system whereby guests are guaranteed a minimum of 90 minutes within the attraction. During off-peak trading times, guests will be permitted to stay as long as they wish

Is The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse an indoor attraction?

Yes, The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse is located entirely indoors so will not be affected by the weather. However, please be aware that in winter the Promenade can be very windy therefore we would advise to travel caution.

Will adults without children in their party be allowed entry to The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse?

Adults must be accompanied by children to enter The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse. The attraction is designed for little ones. An adult is classed as aged 15 and over. Children are classed as aged 14 and under. Children under the age of 1 are free but require a booking.

No one under the age of 17 will be admitted into the attraction unless they are accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over. Such person must remain under the control or supervision of an adult whilst on site at all times.

Is The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse suitable for visitors with disabilities/wheelchair users?

The centre has been designed with your needs in mind. 

  • There is an accessible toilet and changing places room (which includes a toilet, bed and hoist). Baby changing facilities are available in both the male and female toilets
  • The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse welcomes all assistance animals and guide dogs, however they are not permitted to play on the structures / equipment. Water is available upon request
  • Some of our facilities and play structures have been designed to be accessible for our guests with reduced mobility requirements
  • Anyone accompanying a person with a disability, and holds a valid carer or companion card, is entitled to free General Admission to the attraction
  • Guests with sensory sensitivity are welcome in the attraction at any time, however we advise that our quietest periods are during the week (outside of school holidays), after 2pm. This will allow you plenty of time to enjoy the full benefits the attraction has to offer. They also have noise cancelling head phones available upon entry. These are subject to availability.
Will I get to meet The Gruffalo at The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse?

Yes, you will get the opportunity to meet The Gruffalo himself! Depending on the time of year, you may even be lucky enough to meet another of your favourite characters.

Does my child need to wear socks in The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse?

Guests are required to wear socks at all times.

Can I pay by cash in The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse?

The Clubhouse is a cashless attraction. Please be ready to make on-site payments using a 'contactless' bank card.
