Join Santa and his cheerful friends at Woody Bay Station from December 14th - 24th 2024. Enjoy the festive vibes at the station, beautifully adorned with holiday decorations, creating a perfect backdrop for your enchanting experience!

What’s Included in your ticket:

  • Meet Santa and Friends: Santa and his friends will be on hand to greet all the little ones!
  • Gifts for Children: Each child will receive a present and a sticker from Santa, which includes a coloring book, pencils, and a small surprise gift!
  • Festive Train Ride: Enjoy a festive train ride in carriages specially decorated for the holiday season. The journey is a 2-mile round trip, taking approximately 20 minutes.
  • Dear Santa Activity Sheet: The previously popular Dear Santa Christmas activity sheet will be available again. Children can post their letters to Santa using the Santa’s Workshop Post Box!

Pre-Booking Information: 

  • The round trip covers 2 miles and takes approximately 20 minutes.
  • Buggies/Prams: Due to space constraints, pushchairs and buggies cannot be accommodated on trains, however there is space for them to be left at the station at your own risk.
  • Dogs: Lynton & Barnstaple are a dog friendly railway, well behaved dogs and their owners are more than welcome to attend our Santa Specials and New Year services. In addition, dogs travel FREE provided that their owners have purchased a ticket and other passengers do not object. We only ask that for reasons of hygiene dogs are not allowed in 1st Class compartments or on the seats in 3rd Class.
  • Train Schedule: Trains will depart from Woody Bay Station to Killington Lane at the following times each day: 10:45am, 11:30am, 12:15pm, 1:30pm, 2:15pm, 3:00pm & 4:00pm

How to Find Us

By Car:

From the M5, turn off at junction 27 (Tiverton) and follow the A361 ‘North Devon Link Road’ to South Molton. At the North Aller Roundabout (Aller Cross) take the third exit - the A399 signposted Combe Martin, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. There is also a second signpost indicating Brayford and Blackmoor Gate and a “Brown Tourist Sign” for Exmoor via Blackmoor Gate which includes Lynton Cliff Railway.

At Blackmoor Gate, turn right onto the A39 towards Lynton - where the Cliff Railway is again signposted.

They have a reasonably large FREE car park at Woody Bay Station! They can also accommodate coaches on most days (coach drivers - please phone the station to confirm). There is no public parking at Killington Lane.
