About Shen Yun

Step into a world where myth and history dance together, where timeless virtues and divine inspiration come alive in a breathtaking theatrical experience. Shen Yun is more than a performance, it's a revival of a culture nearly lost to time.

For thousands of years, Chinese civilization was steeped in spiritual wisdom, artistic brilliance, and celestial beauty. But decades of communist rule nearly erased this heritage. Shen Yun brings it back, vividly, vibrantly, and with heart-pounding grace.

As the gong strikes and the curtain rises, you're transported to a realm of wonder. Ethereal fairies glide through heavenly clouds. Mongolian horsemen gallop across endless grasslands. Dynasties rise and fall, and stories of love, courage, humor, and sacrifice unfold in dazzling color.

Each performance features around 20 unique pieces, each a window into a different legend, dynasty, or region. From the elegance of Tang court dancers to the battlefield bravery of ancient generals, from Lao-Tzu’s philosophical insights to scenes of divine realms, Shen Yun takes you on a journey across time and space.
