How to find us

Tumblestone Hollow is at Stonor Park, which is located between the M4 (J8/9) and the M40 (J6) on the B480 Henley-on-Thames – Watlington Road.

  • Stonor is a 10 minute drive north from Henley, only an hour from London, 40 minutes from Oxford and Heathrow and half an hour from Reading.

If you are approaching Stonor Park on the M40 motorway from the East and are using a Satellite Navigation system please ignore any instructions to exit the motorway on either Junctions 4 or 5 as this will add up to an hour to your journey. Please only exit at Junction 6.

  • The nearest railway station is Henley-on-Thames and taxis are available from the Station.

Is Tumblestone Hollow wheelchair accessible?

Tumblestone Hollow is set within the natural woodland of Chiltern National Landscape. There may be uneven ground on the side of the hill, which may provide some challenging manoeuvring for wheelchair users.  

Is Stonor House and Gardens wheelchair accessible?

Due to the nature of Stonor House being part of a collection of medieval buildings, it is not suitable for wheelchair users.

However, the gardens are manageable for visitors with disabilities, but the paths are gravel and there are some steep slopes.

Are there any age restrictions for Tumblestone Hollow?

Tumblestone Hollow doesn't have any age restrictions. The team encourage people of all ages to enjoy their play together, but older children (who may be a little more boisterous) must respect and take care of younger children (and older people) who may be a little more cautious. 

Is Stonor House and Gardens dog-friendly?

Dogs are allowed on the estate, but must be kept on leads at all times. 

  • Dogs are not allowed into the House, Formal Gardens or Wonder Woods, but there are 'Dog Parking' stations outside each area. 
Is there food and drink available at Tumblestone Hollow?

There are several places to eat at Tumblestone Hollow, depending on the season. 

  • The Visitor Centre: Open everyday, serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.
  • The Rumble Hut: Open on busy days, serving pizzas from the Wood Fired Pizza Oven. 
Is there parking at Stonor House and Gardens?

There is a large car park for customers at Stonor House and Gardens Visitor Centre, located at the top of the drive.

The car park is only accessible during opening hours. 

Can adults visit Tumblestone Hollow without children?

Tumblestone Hollow is a creative adventure park designed for children. Due to this, groups of adults or single adults with no accompanying children will not be permitted into the park.

What age is Stonor House and Gardens suitable for?

Stonor House and Gardens is suitable for all ages, with both heritage attractions and family-friendly outdoor experiences available.

Are there animals at Tumblestone Hollow?

There are animals such as deer throughout the grounds of the surrounding Stonor Park, but none within Tumblestone Hollow. If you look up, you'll see the giant red kits flying above the trees - the native birds of Oxfordshire!

What can I see at Stonor House and Gardens?

Visitors can explore historic rooms, family collections, gardens, parkland, the chapel and the ancient stone circle.

Do Tumblestone Hollow & Stonor House require separate tickets?

Yes. Tumblestone Hollow and Stonor House are separate attractions and require separate admission tickets.

Can I visit Tumblestone Hollow & Stonor House on the same day?

Yes. Visitors can enjoy both attractions during the same visit, subject to opening times and the relevant tickets being purchased.
