Avon Gorge Rock Climbing Experience

Discover the thrill of rock climbing and abseiling in the beautiful settings of the Avon Gorge in Bristol, just a stone's throw away from the nearby iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge.

​These rock climbing experiences can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners/novices to the experienced adventurer. With group sizes no larger than 6 participants per instructor, we can guarantee you get quality time on the rock and with your instructor.

​Climbs/Abseils are 80ft.

The Avon Gorge Rock Climbing Experience is also open to youth climbers (ages 17 and younger) but please note that climbers below 120cm may not find this activity easy.

​These experiences are bookable in the following slots;

​AM (09:30am - 13:00pm)

&

PM (13:30pm - 17:00pm)

In the event of bad weather, participants will be notified of cancellation 72 hours before the experience and will be offered a change of dates.

​Up and Under Adventures supply all the necessary safety equipment free of charge when you book with us including:

  • Helmets (48 - 61cm head)

  • Harnesses (52 - 104cm waist, 25 - 70cm leg)

  • Rock shoes (limited stock, so please check when booking)

They will also send you an advisory kit list to make your experience a little more comfortable i.e. warm clothes, waterproofs, etc.
