Important Information About Farm Play & Animal Areas

• Hand washing is essential after animal contact and before eating or drinking.
• Hand sanitiser may be used as an additional measure but does not replace thorough handwashing with soap and water.
• Eating and drinking are not permitted in animal areas or play areas.
• Food, baby bottles and dummies should not be taken into animal areas.
• Please use designated seating areas for food and drink.
• Only food and drinks purchased from the Larder or Larder Kitchen may be consumed in the indoor seating areas and pods.
• Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• Parents and guardians should ensure children do not place hands, toys or fingers in their mouths during or after play.
• Visitors should remain calm and gentle around animals.
• Animals should only be fed with approved feed and during permitted feeding sessions.
• Animals must not be chased, lifted or handled unless instructed by a member of staff.
• Visitors should avoid close contact with animal faces.
• Play equipment is used at visitors' own risk.
• Children should use all play equipment safely and appropriately.
• Please help keep play areas tidy and report any damage or concerns to a member of staff.
• Any cuts or grazes should be covered with waterproof dressings before participating in activities.
• Visitors should avoid contact with animal bedding, waste or heavily soiled areas wherever possible.
• Extra care should be taken by young children, pregnant visitors, elderly visitors and anyone with a weakened immune system.
• Visitors should remain within designated visitor areas at all times.
• Please follow all farm signage and instructions given by Upper Dysart Larder staff.
• Footwear should be cleaned if visibly dirty before entering other areas of the site.
• Please dress appropriately for the weather, as activities and experiences take place outdoors throughout the year.

Yes. The Larder offers hot and cold drinks, breakfast, lunch, snacks, home baking, ice cream and take-home meals available to purchase.

Advance booking is recommended, particularly during weekends, holidays and busy periods.

No. Animal feed can be purchased separately on arrival.

Summer Hay & Play operates in most weather conditions. Indoor play areas are available, but visitors should dress appropriately for changing weather.
