Vintage Trains: The Shap Mountaineer Steam Train
Enjoy a trip to 2000-year-old Carlisle, a city famous for Hadrian's Wall with plenty of history, sightseeing and culture to indulge yourself in!
- Depart from a train station near you; Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Crewe, Warrington Bank Quay
- Climb aboard Vintage Trains steam train and head towards Carlisle, with opportunities to see the Cathedral, Castle, museums and galleries!
- Journey from Shap to Carlisle before returning to Settle and Carlisle
- The train will be diesel-hauled to Carnforth, where the Bahama's Renaissance train will take over
- On the return, the train will be diesel-hauled from Hellfield back to Birmingham New Street
- For train enthusiasts, enjoy the Tourist Class ticket, allowing you to sit in the first passenger carriage behind the locomotive, in at least one direction
- Pullman Class: Enjoy seating in one of the original Pullman Cars! Guaranteed tables of two can be booked for a supplement of £10 per person, subject to availability.
