Discover one of the best days out in Warwickshire when you visit Warwick Castle
From the moment you spot its ancient walls rising out of the ground, Warwick Castle has begun to weave its spell on you.
Every step closer seems to illuminate some other part of the castle's charm. Towers reach into the sky, light darts through the small cut-outs in the solid stone, arching doorways invite you in to explore.
Relax with loved ones in the castle courtyard on a sunny day, or take a stroll around the old stables. Feel the history beneath your fingertips as you stroll within its walls, seeking out the Dragon Tower, where BBC's Merlin was partly filmed.
Let your adventures begin...
If you're anything like us, an open doorway is an irresistible invitation to get exploring. Take a wander and see where it leads you.
Head to the Princess Tower and see if you can help reunite the beautiful Felice with her beloved Guy of Warwick.
Or if the little ones are up for a little time travelling, take a trip to the Horrible History Maze.
From the Middle Ages to the First World War, the terrifying Tudors to the slimy Saxons - around every corner there's something new to discover.
Warwick Castle's birds of prey
Warwick Castle has become quite a haven for some of the most incredible birds of prey from around the world.
On the Falconers Quest, you'll get to see the likes of eagles, owls and falcons take to the skies and spread their enormous wings.
Seeing these birds up close is a moment to fill you with awe. Their delicate plumage shimmers in colours you'd never possibly see from afar; their razor-sharp claws as deadly as the sharpest knife.
The River Avon flows right by the castle, the birds' dazzling display of air acrobatics reflecting in its shimmering water.
Get lost in the Horrible History Maze and meet Zog at Warwick Castle
If you and the little ones are up for a fantasy adventure, head to Zog and The Quest for the Golden Star trail. After learning the skills needed, you'll get to watch as they become fully-fledged dragons.
At the end of the quest, be sure to have your camera at the ready as they'll get the opportunity to meet Zog for a memorable pic.
