Is West Midlands Safari Park accessible for wheelchair users?

Yes, West Midlands Safari Park is accessible for wheelchair users, with both manual wheelchairs and a limited number of mobility scooters available to hire.

The natural contours of the land mean that some areas have differing gradients, however, these have been minimised where possible. The Safari Walk has a mix of surfaces including tarmac and compressed gravel. Due to the differing gradients, wheelchair users may require assistance in some areas. Some areas feature anti-slip wooden decking paths and bridges.

The path leading to the African Walking Trail has a steep incline with a compressed gravel surface, we do not recommend this route for wheelchair or mobility scooter users. Guests with pushchairs may also find this section difficult to navigate. You can instead use the tarmacked road past Marmoset Mischief to access the African Walking Trail by keeping right, taking the 2nd exit road and up a smaller incline. This is a shared route so please keep to the side and beware of vehicles.

Can I feed the animals at West Midlands Safari Park?

There are Daily Feeding Encounters available within the Safari Walk area, where you have the opportunity to feed penguins, lorikeets and meerkats.

Please do not feed any animals from your vehicle on the Safari Drive.

Is smoking or vaping allowed at West Midlands Safari Park?

Yes, however we ask that you do not smoke/vape whilst on the Safari Drive, any crowded areas or in the queues.

As this is a family attraction we please ask that you be mindful of other guests.

Are dogs allowed at West Midlands Safari Park?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the premises unless they are for assistance/guiding.

Can I bring my own food to West Midlands Safari Park?
