Share tales, folklore and ghost stories in Edinburgh

The evening begins with a selection of spooky folktales and ghost stories from host Frankie Regalia before the floor opens to guests who would like to share their own stories.

Traditional storytelling is at the heart of the event. Rather than reading from notes, participants are encouraged to tell stories from memory, creating a richer atmosphere and a more immersive experience for the audience.

Your contribution could be a favourite ghost story, local folklore, an unexplained encounter, a creepy poem or even a haunting song. Stories should be no longer than ten minutes, allowing everyone the opportunity to participate.

Prefer to listen? That's absolutely welcome too. Many guests simply come to enjoy the stories, soak up the atmosphere and spend an evening surrounded by fellow lovers of folklore and the supernatural.

With a friendly community atmosphere, BYOB refreshments and plenty of spooky tales, Spooky Storytelling Open Mic is a perfect event for adults looking for unusual things to do in Edinburgh this Halloween season.
