Meet Tara McGilvray-Guard

Tara McGilvray-Guard is a generational witch and the Owner and Director of Wheel of Fate. Originally from the United States, Tara moved to Edinburgh as a teenager and now proudly calls the city home.

Tara learned tarot and spellwork from a young age under the guidance of her mother, Gret, who runs The Witchery in Salem, Massachusetts. Drawing on years of experience, Tara offers readings that focus on interpretation, reflection and personal insight.

What to expect from your tarot reading

Tarot Readings with Tara are designed to encourage self-reflection and deeper understanding. Rather than claiming to predict the future, Tara approaches tarot as a tool that can help us better understand ourselves, our circumstances and the choices available to us.

Each reading is conducted in person at Wheel of Fate and lasts up to 25 minutes. During your appointment, Tara will guide you through the cards and help explore the themes, patterns and questions that emerge from the reading.

Whether you're completely new to tarot or have explored it before, the experience is welcoming, engaging and designed to leave you with fresh insight and perspective.

Please note, the property is an upper ground floor property, meaning there are 5 steps up to enter the building, with railings on either side for assistance. We are currently exploring accessibility options, but have no chair lift as of yet. If you would like a hand bringing a buggy or other device up the stairs, just call +7831560135 and someone in the shop will come and help you.
