Please note: Whitewater Active, Llangollen, require a minimum of four people to book tickets. To book a session for less than four, please call the office to check availability. 

In order to book a child, you must book an adult's ticket first. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.

Join Whitewater Active on a rock climbing adventure as you scale the ice sculpted limestone scarp of Eglwyseg, towering over the Vale of Llangollen, Valley Crucis Abbey and the mysterious castle of Dinas Bran. After a day of exhilarating exercise, grab a photo with your family as you take in the breathtaking views of nature in it's finest form in North Wales. 

Whether you're an advanced climber looking for new exciting routes, or a beginner just looking to tackle the walls of Wales, there are half day sessions and full day sessions to suit your style and ability. 

The taster session is designed for you to face your fears, conquer your nerves and beat the wall with a huge sense of achievement. You will climb Trevor Rocks and The Panorama with Whitewater Active's passionate and qualified instructors.

About your adventure:

  • Duration: 2.5 hours
  • Availability: Seven days a week
  • Location: Llangollen
  • Session times: 9:00am and 1:00pm.

Please note: This is an offsite activity. You will recieve a 'what3words' with your meeting location prior to your arrival. 

This adventure is for you if you're:

  • Minimum age: Eight years old
  • Maximum weight: 100kg

What to bring:

  • Lace up trainers (NO beach shoes, open toes, sandals or crocs)
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Bottled water
  • Sun cream (just in case!)

By car:

As you enter Llangollen from the A539, turn left over the bridge onto Castle Street.

Take the first left onto Bridge Street.

Continue for a short distance and you'll find the property on the right-hand side.

By train:

Although direct train services to Llangollen are no longer available, you can use a mix of train and bus travel from various points of travel throughout the UK.

Nearby train stations include:

  • Chirk Station, located five miles away.
  • Berwyn Station, found along the A5 to the right when coming from Llangollen Town. 
  • Glyndyfrdwy Station, located off the A5 road west of Llangollen.
  • Corwen Station, easily accessible from various directions.

Whitewater Active have the ability to take up to 20 people Rock Climbing and Abseiling at any one time. 

You will need to be generally comfortable with heights, but not an expert. Whitewater Active state that the smallest climb is 30ft from the ground to the top, and the largest is 90ft. You decide!

Unfortunately, this is an offsite activity, so there are no toilets or changing facilities available at the venue.
