A classic Christmas story told through dance, song & live music

On an icy Christmas Eve in an imaginary Italian town, a young girl walks barefoot through the snowy streets with one final match to keep her warm. As she continues on her journey, visions and treasured memories lead her through moments of humanity and hardship.

Created and directed by Arthur Pita, this award-winning production reimagines Hans Christian Andersen's classic story through expressive dance, storytelling, song and Frank Moon's live score.

The production balances the sadness at the heart of Andersen's story with warmth, humour and imagination. One moment is tender and moving, the next wonderfully eccentric, giving children and grown-ups plenty to discover together.

There's a fitting setting for the story too. Wilton's Music Hall brings its faded Victorian character to this Christmas production, adding another layer of atmosphere to The Little Match Girl's wintry world.

Strike a match and step into the story. Book The Little Match Girl tickets today and experience Arthur Pita's festive dance production at Wilton's Music Hall in London.
