About Double Indemnity
Los Angeles, 1930s. The Depression has left the city bruised, yet insurance agent Walter Huff has carved out a niche by recognising every trick in the book. But when he’s called to discuss a routine policy with the alluring and dangerously compelling Phyllis Nirdlinger (Barton), his instincts begin to blur.
A spark ignites — part desire, part danger — and soon the two are entwined in a plot that promises easy money and a clean escape: eliminate her husband, claim the payout, and vanish into the California horizon.
Yet even the most carefully crafted schemes buckle under the weight of guilt. As pressure mounts, the lovers’ trust erodes, turning their perfect plan into a ticking trap. The question becomes not only whether they can outwit the authorities — but whether they can outwit each other.
