By Car:

  • The Playhouse is located just over a mile from the main A1 road, which runs from London (315 miles away) to Edinburgh (90 miles away).
  • There is extensive parking to the rear of the Playhouse, with no restrictions or fees after 6pm.
  • During the day, parking discs must be displayed.
  • Parking display discs can be purchased for £1 at The Playhouse upon arrival.

By Train:

  • Rail services from London King’s Cross, Newcastle and Edinburgh stop at Alnmouth station, situated 4 miles from Alnwick.
  • The onward journey to the Playhouse can be completed by taxi or bus.

By Bus:

  • Several local bus services stop either directly outside or within 100 metres of the theatre, including routes x18, x20, x15, 418 and 464.
