Are the Battle Proms Picnic Concerts wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the Battle Proms Picnic Concerts are extremely accessible for all audience members.

  • Located on open air grass arenas with little or no hard-standing or pathways.
  • Disabled car parking, entrance and toilets available. 
  • Stewards are positioned throughout the auditorium to assist when necessary.
  • Large screen next to the stage depicting close-ups of performances
  • There is no viewing platform due to seated audiences.

Unfortunately, Battle Proms are unable to provide a wheelchair hire facility.

Are the Battle Proms Picnic Concerts dog-friendly?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the event with loud noises, vibrant displays and open food everywhere, dogs are not permitted at the Battle Proms venues.

Assistance dogs are permitted - please make sure these animals are easily identifiable, and please bring your own waste disposal bags. 

Is there parking at the Battle Proms Picnic Concerts?

Yes, there is a plethora of free parking on the various sites. 

  • Distances from the car park to the concert entrances will vary but is usually around 50 - 350 metres. 
  • There is no overnight parking. 
Can I bring food and drink to the Battle Proms Picnic Concerts?

Yes! Battle Proms encourages you to bring your own basket full of delicious dishes. This includes bringing your own alcohol, glassware and cutlery. 

  • Please note: Knives permitted on-site are restricted to 5 inch or under domestic knives and folding knives with a 3 inch blade or under.
Are the Battle Proms Picnic Concerts suitable for children?

Yes! The Battle Proms Picnic Concerts are a perfect way to introduce children to live orchestral music in a fun, informal setting. 

For entertainment for children, there are traditional fairground stalls, aerial displays, fireworks and more. 

  • Very young children may benefit from a pair of junior ear defenders for noise sensitivity
  • As a guideline, Battle Proms recommend a ratio of one adult supervising three children under 16. 
  • Blank wristbands are available at the Info point - please feel free to take one, write your phone number on it and secure it to your child's wrist.
