It’s the most wonderful time of year on the River Dee!
Father Christmas has found time in his busy diary to join the boys and girls of Chester for a festive sailing, bringing along special books to enjoy over the holidays.
Santa cruise details:
- Dates: 13th, 20th & 20th December
- Meeting point: Chester Boat, Souter's Ln, The Groves, Chester CH1 1SZ
Your ticket includes:
- A mince pie and mulled wine (or tea/coffee) for the grown-ups
- A gingerbread man and a Fruit Shoot for the children
- An age-appropriate book, gifted by Santa himself
- A joyful one-hour cruise with festive music aboard a beautifully decorated boat
Important information:
- Tickets are non-refundable once booked. If you’re unable to attend, Santa will send your child’s gift by Royal Mail along with a voucher for a half-hour cruise at a later date
- There are two toilets onboard, but no baby-changing facilities. The nearest baby change is in the public toilets by the bandstand, just 100m from the moorings
- Pushchairs cannot be taken onboard and must be left on the landing stage. Carrycots or bassinets are welcome if they can be placed on a seat
- If weather or river conditions prevent sailing, the event will still take place on a stationary boat, and you’ll receive a voucher for a half hour cruise at a later date
- We cannot take requests for specific books or authors. However, if your child has essential needs (e.g. braille, large print, or a language other than English), please contact us as soon as you’ve booked
