Dark Sky Wales: Weekend Stargazing in Cambrian Mountains

Get ready for a two-day adventure filled with astronomical tuition and observations, set in the wonderful dark skies of Staylittle in Mid Wales. Aimed at all levels of experience, enjoy workshops intended to get you more accustomed to astronomy, the night sky, and capturing your own images.

Day One: Friday:

• 4.00pm: Arrive at the Hafren.
• 6.00pm: Introductory Lecture – The basics of Astronomy
• 7.00pm: Break
• 7.30pm: Equipment – Introduction to astronomical equipment.
• 9.00pm: Break
• 10.00pm: Astronomical Observation and Astrophotography (weather permitting)
• 2.30am: Finish for the night

Day Two: Saturday:

• Enjoy a free day to explore the wonderful surroundings of Mid Wales
• 6.00pm: Lecture – What’s in the night sky?
• 7.00pm: Break
• 7.30pm: Astrophotography – Landscape and deep sky imaging
• 9.00pm: Break
• 10.00pm: Astronomical Observation and Astrophotography (weather permitting)
• 2.30am: Finish for the night

Day Three: Sunday:

• 12.00pm: Leave Hafren
