Edinburgh Whisky Tour and Tasting

Scottish whisky has garnered a famous reputation over the centuries. From smoky peated brews to smooth single malts, the highlands to the lowlands – Scotch has made a happy home in many a drinks cabinet.

The home of whisky

In the heart of the Scottish capital, not far from the craggy top of Arthur’s Seat, Holyrood Distillery is offering people the chance to get an insider’s look at what goes on behind the scenes.

On the tour and tasting experience around their distillery, over the course of an hour, you’ll get to discover the traditions and heritage behind Scotch whisky.

But Holyrood has a few tricks of their own up their sleeves, sharing some of the innovative and creative ways they’ve brought to the table to ensure their whiskies are remarkably unique.

A guide will keep you company along the tour, clueing you up on all the stories behind Scottish whisky production.

A delightful treat to end

When your journey around the distillery comes to an end, four drams of Holyrood’s whisky wait to warm your soul.

Just like wine, whisky is a complex drink. Each batch and brew is full of distinct characteristics and notes.

With help on hand, you’ll be able to try and identify them. If you can or you can’t, either way, a dram of whisky is always a welcome way to end a trip.
