About The Rise and Fall of The City of Mahagonny

Welcome to Mahagonny — a city built on sand and sustained by sin. Here, every desire has a price tag, and the only rule is: there are no rules.

Three fugitives stumble upon this desert mirage and turn it into a haven for the hedonistic. But as the city swells with greed and gluttony, the cracks begin to show. In a place where anything goes, who survives when the party ends?

Weill’s genre-blending score fuses opera with the swagger of jazz, ragtime, and cabaret. Expect banjos, bass guitars, and the unforgettable Alabama Song — later made famous by David Bowie and The Doors. Brecht’s razor-sharp libretto cuts through the decadence with biting irony, making this a night at the opera like no other.

Prepare for a provocative, visually striking journey into a city where dreams are bought, sold, and ultimately destroyed.
