What you will see:
The journey begins at Porthmadog Harbour Station, where Spooner's café will be open, offering a selection of refreshments before joining the train. As it leaves the station, the train steams along the main road and crosses a bridge over the Glaslyn river, flowing out into the historic harbour below. Be ready to wave – there are always people waiting to watch this spectacle!
The journey across the flatlands of the 'Traeth Mawr' (the great estuary) offers wide vistas of the mountains of Snowdonia before the train leaves the wide valley, passes Nantmor Halt and enters a tunnel, reappearing high on a ledge above the river in the famous Aberglaslyn Pass on route to Beddgelert village.
