  • By train: Styal train station is 1/2 mile walk/ 12 minutes from Quarry Bank. Manchester Airport is 2 miles away; Wilmslow train station is 2 miles away, approximately a 40 minute walk.
  • By road: Quarry Bank is located off the B5166. Follow the A555 and exit at the Hollin Lane/ Styal Road junction. Follow the brown oak leaf heritage signs. Please respect the neighbours and park in the main visitor car park rather than the village. Six electric vehicle charging points are available. Drivers will require their own cables to charge.
  • Please note: The entrance to the event from the main road is for vehicles only. The route is sparsely lit and ground conditions can be slippery and uneven, so it is not suitable for pedestrians.

  • There is no exit half way through.
  • The trail is 1,150m or approx. 0.7 miles in total, including the inside area of the Mill.
  • In some areas, the trail's lighting will be low, as this is part of the experience.
  • The team encourage visitors to bring along a torch in case of emergency, but this should not be used unless absolutely necessary.
  • Please dress appropriately.
  • The team reserve the right to refuse inappropriately-clothed patrons access to the walk.
  • The trail is not covered and all visitors are reminded that this is an outdoor illuminated trail and the weather may be inclement.
