By Car:

  • There are two major roads linking Southend to the M25 - the A127 and A13.
  • From the North, Southend is accessible via the A1, M11, M25 & A127.
  • From the South, Southend is accessible via the M25 or from the Dartford Tunnel & A13.

By Public Transport:

  • Two direct train lines operate between London and Southend. 
  • The C2C line from Fenchurch Street to Southend Central & the Abellio Greater Anglia from Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria.

Whilst the Lazy Days Festival do their best to ensure the festival is accessible for everyone, the festival grounds are located in Priory Park which is primarily and may be uneven in places for wheelchair users. 

Carer tickets are also available and are free of charge subject due to capacity. To purchase this, you will need to provide evidence:

  • Proof of middle or higher rate Disability Living Allowance for care and/or mobility.
  • Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
  • Receipt of either the Severe Disablement Allowance or Attendance Allowance.
  • War Pensioners’ Mobility Allowance or War or Service Disablement Pension for 80% or more disability.
  • Blind or partially sighted registration certificate (BD8 or CVI Certificate) or evidence from an eye specialist, for example, an optometrist, that the individual would qualify to be registered as severely sight impaired (blind) or sight impaired (partially sighted).
  • A personal letter from a GP, community nurse, social worker or consultation letter that states the individual has a long-term impairment or disability and requires assistance.

There are a handful of age restrictions in place for the Lazy Days Festival in Southend-on-Sea:

  • Under 18's are welcome to the Saturday day and Sunday day sessions
  • A maximum of two under 18's tickets can be purchased per standard entry ticket
  • On Saturday and Sunday, under 18's will have to leave the festival site during the one-hour break sessions
  • Under 18's must be accompanied at all times
  • Friday and Saturday night sessions are strictly 18+ only

No, pets are not permitted at the festival. 

Only guide and assistant dogs are permitted. 

Please be aware of the following:

Items permitted into the festival:

  • Picnic blankets - please be mindful of others and do not obstruct walkways. 
  • One sealed bottle of water per person, or an empty refillable container. 
  • Please bring proof of ID, as the festival operates a Challenge 25 Policy.

  • Chinese lanterns/candles/paraffin lamps
  • Sound systems/generators
  • BBQ's
  • Drones
  • Laser pens/selfie sticks
  • Illegal drugs

Prohibited items may be removed, confiscated or destroyed.
