Unexpected encounters in Pembrokeshire

Wandering through the south Wales countryside, there are a few animals you might expect to spot. Birds fluttering overhead for sure, squirrels darting across the floor, and insects buzzing about everywhere in between.

And of course, the roars of tigers, gibbons calls across the treetops, and the crunch of bamboo as peckish red pandas munch away.

Wait a minute. Tigers? Red pandas? Gibbons? In Pembrokeshire? Well, head to Manor Wildlife Park, and these are the sights and sounds that you'll be welcomed by.

A leisurely stroll from continent to continent

As you spend the day exploring the 52-acre park, at moments you’ll travel through the Himalayas where Betty and Cherry, the red pandas, lounge in the treetops.

Then suddenly you're zipped across to the island of Madagascar where lemurs bounce and swing through the landscape, before being drawn to the Indonesian forests by the imposing charm of Jaya and Termia, the Sumatran tigers who call the park their home.

Nothing can beat seeing these animals up close, and that’s saying a lot when often, they’re accompanied on-screen by a voice-over from David Attenborough.

But truly, looking into the eyes of an actual tiger, with paws as big as your chest and fur like fire and charcoal is a totally unique experience.

Experiences to get even closer

Along your travels around the park, there are opportunities to get even closer to some of the animals. Meet the tigers, red pandas, or gibbons and stand face-to-face with all these amazing creatures.

You’ll get to go behind the scenes of the park and even have the opportunity to feed them.

Whether that’s the cute red panda softly nibbling bamboo from your hand or keeping some distance while the tigers tear through their dinner, it’s an experience you won’t be forgetting any time soon.

Surprise your little one with the ‘mini keeper experience’. After a day meeting all their favourite animals up close, we’re sure they’ll be leaving in good spirits and you might even have the next leading animal conservationist on your hands.

Leave fascinated and inspired

A day out at Manor Wildlife Park is as 'zoonique' as it is inspiring.

The park is actively engaging with conservation programs and helping educate people on wildlife. We need voices that promote the importance of the natural world and the lives other than humans that call it their home.

Manor Wildlife Park is one of the voices leading the way and after a lovely day seeing all the animals, you’ll feel just as inspired to join that conversation with them.
