Watch an American horror hit
Come down to the Castle Keep for one of the many brilliant film nights held at Newcastle Castle.
This night you'll be shown the well-known gothic horror, Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
This version of Dracula is closely based on Bram Stoker's classic Novel. The count Vlad III Dracula, played by Gary Oldman, is a 15th century prince and cursed to feed off living blood for an eternity.
Keanu Reeves stars as the young lawyer Jonathan Harker who arrives to Dracula's castle in order to finalise a land deal.
When the count catches a glimpse of Harker's betrothed, Mina (played by Winona Ryder), the plot thickens. As the spitting image of the count's dead wife, her visage sets him off on a reign of terror.
As victim after victim becomes subject to Dracula's unquenched bloodlust, Professor Abraham Van Helsing the undaunted vampire killer, swears to put an end to the count's tyranny.
Once, love cursed Vlad to walk eternally among the living. Will now love mark his demise?
