Step back in time and experience traditional sailing the way it used to be

The Oyster Boat Terror is a beautifully restored 125-year-old working sailboat, originally built in the 1890s to support the oyster trade in Emsworth. Today, it offers a completely unique way to explore Chichester Harbour — a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

With only a handful of passengers on board, every trip feels intimate and relaxed. You’ll glide past wildlife-rich shores, watch the sails set overhead, and even have the chance to take the helm under the guidance of the experienced crew.

Run by volunteers from the Friends of Chichester Harbour, every booking helps preserve this historic vessel for future generations.
