What else is on at Royal Air Force Museum: London & Midlands?

Immerse yourself in history with the extraordinary opportunity to sit in an authentic Second World War Spitfire!

This unique experience allows you to step into the shoes of a wartime pilot and feel the thrill of being in the cockpit of one of the most iconic aircraft ever built.

Before you take your place in the pilot’s seat, the knowledgeable guide will provide you with a detailed introduction to the Spitfire. You'll learn about its remarkable history, the engineering marvels that made it a formidable fighter, and what it was like to fly this legendary aircraft during the war.

To ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience, please plan to arrive at the Museum approximately 30 minutes before your session begins. This will give you ample time to visit the Admissions desk, complete the check-in process, and make your way to Hangar 3, where the Spitfire awaits.

Important details:

  • Single Participant Sessions: Each session is designed for one person only. If you wish to book multiple sessions, please repeat the process of adding a ticket and selecting a time for each participant.
