This summer, iVisit Sport begins its tour in Cardiff with a city-centre celebration on the 24th August. The day is dedicated to the community itself, where families will be invited to have fun in free activities and meet sporting legends.

Meet some legends of Welsh rugby

Three of Wales’s greats Lee Byrne, Jonathan Davies and Tom Shanklin, will take to the stage for a free family rugby celebration. Across the day they will share untold stories from their careers, memories of British & Irish Lions tours, test match triumphs and the unseen experiences that shaped them as players. In bringing elite athletes back into the public square, the event symbolises one of iVisit Sport’s central aims: to break down barriers between athlete and audience, to ensure sport belongs not only to those who compete but to those who gather.

What is the story behind iVisit Sport?

The launch of iVisit Sport in Cardiff is the beginning of a wider journey. The inspiration behind the new iVisit Sport Tour is to bring these celebrations of sport to city centres across the UK, using each stop to spotlight the sporting culture of its host community. Central to this mission will be the integration of local rugby clubs, who will be invited to participate directly, ensuring that each celebration reflects the grassroots as much as the elite athletes. Therefore, iVisit Sport seeks to create a sporting community across each UK town and city,
Cardiff is simply the prologue to this story.
