Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden in St Ives
Barbara Hepworth first came to live in Cornwall with her husband Ben Nicholson and their young family at the outbreak of war in 1939. She lived and worked in Trewyn Studio - now known as the Barbara Hepworth Museum - until her death in 1975.
For just a small extra fee, you can visit the museum and sculpture garden and get up-close to handmade art from Hepworth, with most of the bronzes remaining in the same position in which the artist herself placed them.
