What's On at the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden & Museum?
"Finding Trewyn Studio was a sort of magic. Here was a studio, a yard and garden where I could work in open air and space," - Barbara Hepworth
Barbara Hepworth first came to live in Cornwall with her husband Ben Nicholson and their young family at the outbreak of war in 1939. She lived and worked in Trewyn Studio - now known as the Barbara Hepworth Museum - until her death in 1975.
After being given to the Tate to preserve, you can now visit the museum and sculpture garden and get up-close to handmade art from Hepworth, with most of the bronzes remaining in the same position in which the artist herself placed them.
