Reach to the skies on Europe's tallest High Ropes course

Standing at a towering 65ft, or almost 20 metres, the High Ropes at the Bear Grylls Adventure in Birmingham are serious business for any and all thrill-seekers.

From rope bridges to swinging logs, each of the 36 obstacles presents a unique challenge that will push you to your limits, but once you finally overcome them, you'll feel like a superhero!

But don't worry if you're feeling a bit apprehensive, the course is designed to be suitable for all levels, with trained instructors on hand to guide you through every step of the way.

So whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a first-timer, the High Ropes course is 60 minutes of a fun and unique challenge that will leave you feeling exhilirated!

How to find us

It is recommend that guests arrive 30 minutes before their first activity start time. The Bear Grylls Adventure car park is found at NEC Car Park East 5.

By car

You can find The Bear Grylls Adventure at the National Exhibition Centre. It is located just off the M42 at Junction 6.

Please use postcode B40 1NT to find The Bear Grylls Adventure's car park at NEC Car Park East 5. Please park through the barriers to the right hand side of the car park. Or, using what3words, the entrance to the car park is ///letter.rapid.almost

There is a 15-minute walk from the car park to the site.

By train

The nearest train station to The Bear Grylls Adventure is Birmingham International.

The attraction is then just a 10 minute walk through The NEC.

By bus

National Express WM buses X1, X12 and 75 currently connect to Birmingham International train station.

The attraction is then just a 10 minute walk through The NEC.

Important information:

This experience lasts for 60 minutes
Participants must be 8+ years
8 and 9 year olds must be accompanied on the activity by an adult aged 18 or over. This adult must have a full activity ticket
Adults accompanying guests aged 8 and 9 are required to remain on the same High Ropes level as the child/children at all times
Guests aged 10-16 years will need an adult present at check-in to sign waivers, but can enjoy the adventure unaccompanied

All guests participating in an activity need to complete a general attraction waiver
It's recommended to wear comfortable active wear that you can move in. Lace up trainers are a must. Extra layers are recommended for High Ropes, as it is an outdoor activity
For all activities that require a participant to wear a harness, we ask that participants ensure that their clothing covers any part of the body in contact with the harness (i.e. leg loops and waist belt)
- Please make sure you wear a full length top (i.e. no crop tops)
- Mid-thigh or longer shorts or trousers
- Tops with straps or sleeves that cover the shoulders
For your safety, no jewellery, mobile phones or loose items can be worn during activities however they can be stored away in the onsite free lockers
Spectators may view those taking part in High Ropes from the ground.
