Is The Grand Pier accessible?

The Grand Pier is accessible for wheelchair users and can cater for anyone with other specific access requirements. 

The Grand Pier is based on two floors with lift and escalator access to both floors. Most of the restaurants and cafes are all situated on the ground floor with step free access, however please note the Adventure Café Soft Play Café is on the 2nd level.

Noise-reducing headphones and tinted glasses can be obtained from the Grand Café till on the ground floor of the pavilion, as well as the Gift Shop till located on the 1st floor. 

These provide individuals with sensory sensitivities the ability to customise their environment and minimise potential stress triggers. A small deposit of £5 is required, and customers may keep hold of the items for the duration of one day.

Yes! Parking is available right opposite the Grand Pier in the Sovereign Centre car park.

Can I buy food and drink at the Grand Pier?

Yes, The Grand Pier offers a wide variety of food and drink restaurants and kiosks, so you’ll never go hungry during your visit!

Are dogs allowed at The Grand Pier?

Dogs are unfortunately not allowed on the Pier due to safety reasons. However, assistance dogs are welcome to accompany their owners at the Pier.

The Grand Pier was built between 1903 and 1904, officially opening in June 1904.
