Short answer: we don't know.

Banksy is an anonymous England-based street artist, political activist, and filmmaker known for his distinctive stencil-style graffiti and provocative artworks. His identity remains largely unknown, adding to the mystery and intrigue surrounding his work. Banksy's art often contains satirical social commentary, tackling various political and social issues such as war, capitalism, greed, poverty, and the effects of modern society.

He gained widespread recognition in the late 1990s and early 2000s for his street art, which appeared predominantly in Bristol before expanding to cities around the world. Banksy's art typically combines dark humor, irony, and clever visual imagery to convey powerful messages, and his pieces have appeared on walls, buildings, and streets in various countries.

His art continues to captivate audiences globally, and his messages often provoke thought and discussion about societal issues through the lens of art.
