Wildlife spotting along the English Riviera

Your trip begins at Torquay Marina, where you’ll meet the team, get fitted with lifejackets and take part in a full safety briefing before heading out onto the water.

From there, you’ll follow the coastline, hugging the shore to explore hidden coves, sea caves and some of the most scenic spots around Torbay. The route then extends further along the coast, allowing you to discover even more of this stunning part of South Devon.

This longer trip gives you more time to search for wildlife and take in your surroundings. The rocky islands you’ll visit are home to seabirds such as guillemots during certain times of the year, as well as local seal populations.

As you head further out to sea, your skipper will also keep an eye out for resident dolphin pods and porpoises. While sightings can never be guaranteed, this extended trip gives you the best chance to see them in their natural habitat.

If you want to explore further, stay out longer and maximise your chances of spotting wildlife, the 90 Minute Coastal Explorer is the ultimate Torquay Watersports experience.
