Three breathtaking walking trails

Whichever one you chose to explore, you can be sure to see beautiful views, be welcomed by curious wildlife, and leave feeling refreshed and calm.

With the three-mile-long Buzzard trail, the two-mile Woodpecker trail, or the shorter, all-ability Wren trail, there's something for everyone.

The Wren trail is less than one mile long and here, you’ll find plenty of benches and Gruffalo statues to help spur the little ones on - you'll never have seen them so eager to carry on walking!

With five running trails, you can enjoy a breath of fresh air as you run through the forest. Is there any better place to get your daily exercise in than admiring beautiful views and being surrounded by nature?

Reward the children with a trip to the play area

You’ll see their eyes light up when they see the adventure play area. Grownups can take this chance to sit down nearby and chat about what they’ve explored so far in the woods. The conversation will quickly turn to arranging your next visit.

Tummy rumbling?

Make sure you’ve packed a picnic full of delicious sandwiches and cakes to tuck into in one of the picnic areas.

With plenty of benches within the forest and a gorgeous grassy lawn next to the visitor centre, you can be sure to enjoy lunch with a view.

Release your inner daredevil

Swing high through the trees like a monkey at Go Ape. The high ropes course is great fun if you’re brave enough to tackle the zip line, rope ladders, and swings.

If you’re bringing little ones, head to the children’s high ropes adventure course, where anyone over 1m high can enjoy an adventurous challenge! This is a great way to see the forest in a different way and we’re sure you’ll create special memories here.
