Evening Safari Tour:

Experience the magic of the English Riviera in the late evening sun, a privilege enjoyed from July to August. SKT's evening tours provide a truly enchanting experience. Feel free to bring refreshments for your group to indulge in as you watch the flaming orange sky.

These tours take advantage of the late evening sunshine, offering a unique perspective on the bay as the sun sets, and the water becomes tranquil at dusk, reducing background noise.

These sunset sea safaris are delivered through the gorgeous late summer evenings. With regular cetacean sightings through 2023 after 6pm, we hope to find you an opportunity to observe the residential marine wildlife!

The sunset sea safaris are led by SKT's local geopark tour guide! They will complement the tour with an education of the Geopark and the special sites of scientific interest that you pass and show you some of Torbay's very special and protected fossils.

About Sea Kayak Torquay

Established in 2017, Sea Kayak Torbay (SKT) is a small team led by Kieran Laurston who is an expert in the local geology and wildlife and has been paddling, sailing, coasteering, and swimming in the waters of South Devon for more than 40 years. SKT specialise in delivering sea kayaking adventures in and around the coves of the English Riviera and are now proud to be also delivering high-quality SUP tours and courses and beach watersports hire.

Children as young as 4 are welcome, provided they can wear a safety Buoyancy Aid and paddle tandem with an adult. One of the guides can accompany any guest in tandem.

As long as your teenagers are over 14 and you stay on the beach, Sea Kayak can take them out for a tour in a tandem boat together. They can only go solo if they are accompoanied by an adult in a seperate boat and any child under 14 must be accompanied with an adult in the same boat.

For your Sea Kayaking, quick drying fabrics such as polyester and nylon as well as waterproof clothing is the best option to ensure you don’t get wet and cold.

Another thing you want to think about is wearing flexible clothing that ensures mobility when kayaking and provides you with a high level of comfort when kayaking for longer sessions.
