The Great British Food Festival Ashridge House is arriving in Hertfordshire this summer for an incredible family festival full of food and fun

From the 22nd to the 23rd of June 2024, Ashridge House will be host to the Great British Food Festival!

Feast your eyes on a family day out that has something for everyone, from food, to live music, kids activities and even something for the dogs! There really are so many things to do in Herts' big food festival. 

Here's a sneak peak of some of the foodie fun going on at Ashridge House this year:

  • Artisan Market: From chocolate to chutney and cheese to chili sauce, there's a huge selection of tasty treats that's bound to prove a terrific time for your tastebuds. 
  • Street food: Whether its tacos, pastas, burgers, hot dogs or curries that you're looking for, you won't be disappointed tasting the festival's super street food. Every trader is rated a 5-Star hygiene rating! 
  • Chef Demos: Chefs from all over will be giving cooking demonstrations on their favourite meals so you can learn the ways of becoming a master chef too! 
  • Cake Off: Over 800 cakes have been cut, tasted and deliberated, but only one can be the winner... Make sure not to miss the fiercely competitive Cake Off. 
  • Kids Cookery: Little ones are in for a treat when they learn how to cook some new recipes. For 30-40 minutes, kids can cook up some Rocky Road Truffles or Peppermint & Orange Pebbles to take home.

  • Live Music: From 10am to 5pm, a wide range of musicians will be taking to the stage to provide the sounds to your food-tastic day.

By train:

The nearest train station is Berkhamsted Station, which is approximately four miles (6km) from Ashridge House. Trains from London Euston to Berkhamsted take 30 minutes.

The Great British Food Festival is dog-friendly.

Please note that all dogs must remain on a lead at all times and that owners must clean up after their dogs.

For hygiene reasons and the enjoyment of all visitors, dogs are not permitted into the food marquees/demonstration tents and/or most of the Estate buildings, so please bear this in mind when deciding whether or not to bring your furry friend with you.

Please note the visitor requiring a carer to attend with them, MUST be able to bring with them and show to the entrance team one form of valid, in date documentation, from their accepted list below, in order for the carer to be admitted for free on the day:

  • Blind Persons Registration

Unfortunately blue/orange badges, HANDS cards and carers passport are not valid ID for carers. 

It is politely requested that you do not bring your own food and drink, so please leave your picnics back at home.

Due to licensing laws, it is strictly prohibited for you to bring your own alcohol. Doing so may result in being escorted from the venue and no refund will be given
