The First step on the ladder of the British Canoeing Coach Award All ages welcome!

This two day course is all about teaching you to understand the Who and How of teaching paddle sports. And is the pre- requisite for all disciplines of coach award. A wonderful balance between theory and testing it, with as much done in a boat and on the water as possible. Doesn't Matter What craft you prefer to paddle either.

The Course

This two day course works in a fantastically simple manner to get you to understand and feel confident with the knowledge required, which is a little theory, go and try it, chat about it, see some demos, watch others and then recap. We cover all the required syllabus in the two days, in as practical manner as possible. The aim is that at the end of the two days, you have an action plan of how to move forwards and get ready for the next stage, the discipline specific modules.

This course can be run on any dates for groups of 4 people or more. And we can come to your club or centre to deliver the course, or you can book onto one of our advertised courses that mostly run from our centre here in LLangollen. 

We ran the first Core training that ran in Wales, as well as the first to be run in Guernesy and also in Jersey.  We are very proud of our coach education courses and facilities which includes river side classrooms, free parking, huge range of boats and paddles to use not to mention ongoing mentoring between the core and your assessment.
